Design Features
  • The EZ Clip It would be manufactured of durable, plastic materials. Generally U-shaped, the unit could feature a spring-loaded or tension mechanism which would securely hook and hold the unit and attached light strand in place.
  • Designed to be clamped or hooked to the spout perpendicularly, the EZ Clip It measures approximately 1/4" in width, with individual sections measuring 1/2", 1/4" and 1" in length, respectively. In this manner, the user would hook the clip to the top edge of the spout, clamping the base of the EZ Clip to the underside of the spout's lip.
  • The EZ Clip It could be produced in clear plastic or white and would be packaged and sold in sets of twenty five units per container.
  • Use of the EZ Clip It would be simple and straightforward. A one step application, the user would simply begin stringing their outdoor lights onto their rain spout, securing the strand at approximate 6" intervals to the spout, via the EZ Clip It. Clasping the clip in one hand and holding the section of lights against the spout with the other, the user would simply hook the clamp in place, making sure that the top of the EZ Clip It is securely gripped to the top edge of the spout, while the bottom of the clip grasped the underside of the spout's lip. When the entire strand of lights has been installed upon the rain spout, the user would simply plug in the lights and enjoy the dazzling look. The lights could just as easily be removed by reversing the process.
